A foundation Spanish Mustang is:
descendant of the horses of the Conquistadors, vaqueros and explores of the old west.
They are contributors to many modern breeds. Brave, loyal and fierce they are also tolerant, kind and forgiving of their people. An historic breed able to exist in the modern world.
What a foundations Spanish Mustang are not:
Crossed with anything else they become a part bred. i.e. a kiger x spanish mustang is a ½ kiger not an SM.
Foundation bred Spanish Mustangs do not have neck tattoos. They have never been managed in a BLM herd management area.
Their ancestors were wild, however not in the last 50+ years.
No buses or 4-wheelers hear. You check fence your way. I will do it mine.
