Windcross Conservancy is a South Dakota
501c3 public charity- established as the Spanish Mustang is fast becoming a vanishing piece of American history. Windcross Conservancy intends to protect this endangered horse through creating a conservation area for the horses, a public museum, educational center with library of the horse, and continued public awareness through school outreach and public events.

Bahamas Trip Winner Chosen

October 2009. Winner of the 6 day 5 night trip for two was drawn today. The winner Mr John Remington and his wife will enjoy their holiday courtesy of the Briitsh Colonial Hilton and Dr and Mrs. Jurg Gassman.

Spanish Mustangs at the OFFA, daily shows for a week

April 2010 the Spanish Mustang Ambassador horses for Windcross Conservancy performed daily at the OFFA, a spring agricultural festival. Each year the OFFA showcases a rare horse breed. There were 95,00 visitors to the event. Please see attached articles for complete information.

New Preserve In Buffalo Gap

Windcross Conservancy has established a permanent preserve for the horses in Buffalo Gap, South Dakota. THe horse preserve is the first in a three phase plan for the facility. The first horses arrived at the ranch in late January 2010.

2010 will see public tours and events. There will be an ACTHA competitive trail ride in September on the ranch. This is an effort to raise funds to support the horse preservation herds.

ACTHA sanctioned Competitve Trail Challenge September 3, 2010 Saturday of Labor Day Weekend

Windcross Conservancy is sponsoring a Competitive Trail Challenge Labor Day weekend 2010. Course will be 6- 10 miles in length with a minimum of 6 obstacles to be ridden. Jackpots in Open and Pleasure Divisions to third place. Prizes to 5th place in all divisions. Junior division age 7-15 must have adult permission to ride. Buddy riders permissible.
